After grabbing the Aether Extractors contract phone and downloading the intel, players should take a moment to drop any pursuing zombies or hounds before moving to the contract area. Players will have t hree minutes to fight through the three squads of mercenaries and disable the extractors before the onboard rockets launch and extract all the collected aether - so, while moving quickly is a priority, it is crucial to remove any threats that can sneak up on players when fighting the mercenaries. Speaking of weapons, Global Offensive brings a recognizable palette for veterans - with some very minor changes to the line-up (the TMP is now an MP9, the M4 can't have a suppressor, etc). Molotovs and decoy grenades offer more tactics to throwable weaponry - with the ability to block paths with flames that make new strategies viable. The majority of the weapons remain unmodified, allowing for returning players to jump in the game and find their usual rhythm. In the hallway on the south end of the building there is a staircase that will get players to the first roof level - be cautious of the spawning horde and the holed-up mercenaries in the fire station.
